#MicroblogMondays: Hope Doesn't Float

Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is?Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.
Hope is a cinder block.  If there is mortar and the plans are good and the ground is even and the foundation is strong, you can really build something.  If you don't have those things, hope becomes nothing more than the weight tied around your ankles, pulling you down as you try to swim and then as you try to just tread water.

    1. The analogy occurred to me as I was facing another BFN after my body toyed with me by giving me a couple extra days to wonder.

  2. I had to read it over & over to really get it. Well said... May all your hopes be of the good mortar & strong foundation variety.. xo

    1. Thank you. Lately, they have been more of the pulling me under the water variety, but I would like that to change.

  4. I so agree. Hope can be a wonderful thing, but it can also weigh you down and disappoint you. I'm hoping for more of the mortar and foundation type in the future. I'm so sorry for your BFN.
